hey there just dropping in to say hi! Im doing good! Still working in the govt however i feel like ive got to the stage where i am done with it and so ready for somehting else.. such as teaching... !!!  However just waiting on God's timing. David dislocated his shoulder ... i feel bad for him it hurts a lot and he cant play sport! Although the one plus of it was that i got to drive his car instead of mine!! Get this I am doign some sport coaching courses ..i know wha on earth - netball, athletics and gymnastics!! how unlike me is that but it is to make my resume more appealing to schools. There are so few jobs at the moment.
My verse at the moment is Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not onto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3 v 5 -6 )
It covers so much i really love it.
Somehting exciting ... Our youth group in churhc is going really great... our numbers have dropped slightly however we have been left with a group of teens really eager to learn more about the Lord share openly about whats going on in their lives and learn form the example of the leaders ... (thats one we need to watch !! hehe)
There is going to be a serious of occupational services in church and one of them is on Christians in Education. Our teens hve been invited to present a drama and we decided we would let them decide the format etc it would take. We began by discussing being a Chrisitan in school and the struggles and easy aspects of this. We were blown away by their openness. One kid that we questioned together as whether he really listened or wanted to be there each Sunday spoke about his struggle in his faith being that other Christians in school were so hard to tlak to and so different form him that he found it hard to have Chrisitan friends in school and he went on to say not like the people in the youth group. we were so rejoicing following this becasue we knew he wanted to be there he enjoyed the fellowship and the things of the Lord are clearly on his mind. What a blessing the whole evenign was!
Sometimes you are so aware of God's grace .. we never nearly give enough .. well i dont however despite this and despite how often we wing it so to speak God is bigger than that and works through us. I really pray that the teens will have such a confidence in their faith that the will not feel the need to fit in with the world but will be totally comfortable following Christ and not feel ashamed of it! |
